An introduction to the sewing machine teaching you all the basic skills and what the buttons are for!

This workshop is for you if you have never used a sewing machine before, or if you are feeling like you need a refresher.  Sort out that machine gathering dust and lets get started!

There’s a lot you will learn during the day, making sure you will leave with the confidence to try your own beginners projects at home!

Class sizes are kept small making sure that everyone gets attention and assistance when needed.

•    Threading your machine
•    Winding a bobbin
•    Stitch selection
•    How to change stitch length, (and width if your machine has this facility)
•    How to adjust tension
•    Presser feet, how to change them
•    How to sew a straight line and turn corners
•    How to sew a buttonhole
•    Cutting fabric from a template
•    Neatening seams
•    Making a pocket
