Learn To Make Curtains

Learn how to make a lined curtain.
Learn how to:
  • measure your window
  • estimate fabric required
  • machine sew fabric and lining
  • hand sew a hem
  • make a mitred corner
  • attach pencil pleat heading tape
  • draw up the tape to create pleats

You will make a  sample lined curtain
fabric provided
Basic machine  sewing skills required

Includes full written instructions with an easy measuring guide

Learn To Make Roman Blinds

Learn to make a  machine sewn roman blind.
Learn how to:
  • measure your window
  • calculate  fabric  requirements
  • calculate pleat depth
  • attach rod tape
  • attach velcro fastening
  • make a lining
  • make a bottom bar casing
  • put the blind and rods together to be ready to hang

You will make a lined sample blind to keep
fabric provided.

 Basic sewing skills required

Includes full written instructions with an easy calculation guide for reference

includes a demonstration of types of track to use for attaching to your window

Please note rods and track are not included,

Piped Cushion Cover

Learn how to make a piped cushion

Your cushion cover will have a lapped zip opening and contrasting piping around the outside to give a professional finish.
Learn how to:

  • make piping using ready made bias binding and cord
  • An awareness of the technique to make your own bias binding
  • neatly insert piping into your cushion cover
  • insert a lapped zip into the back of the cushion cover

Fabrics are provided
bring your own sewing machine with zip foot
Workshops suitable for Beginners who have attended my "Get to know your sewing machine" workshop or have basic sewing skills.
